The Great Cropped Suit Mix-Up

The cropped suit is one of spring's most talked about workwear trends. I love this trend because you can break apart the pieces or just add a casual twist to matching separates.

Instead of a blouse try a casual shirt underneath the blazer and add sporty accessories. I went "Alia-style" here with a sporty shrunken jersey but if you want to baby step it try a t-shirt first.

WORK YOUR HOLIDAY LEFTOVERS

WORK YOUR HOLIDAY LEFTOVERS

Pull out your feathered or sequin skirt from New Years (I'm actually wearing a strapless dress here) and add two casual layers on top. I layered my feathered dress with a stripe turtleneck and long work blazer to make the look work post-holiday. The trick here is juxtaposing two very casual elements (the blazer and t-neck) with a very dressy part of the look (the dress).

A long blazer over a dress is an easy look no matter what your body type. The long over short proportion is universally flattering.
